Image:Paris palais des congres 1.jpg The 17^th arrondissement, located on the Right Bank, is one of the 20 arrondissements of Paris, France. This arrondissement hosts two very active districts: in the Northern part, the district around Place de Clichy which is very popular ; in the Southern part, the district around Avenue des ternes, where the Marché Poncelet is located, is more Haussmannian.

The 17th arrondissement also hosts the Palais des Congrès of Paris, which is a large exhibition center also known for Concorde Lafayette highrise hotel which is part of the complex.

The peak of population of Paris 17th arrondissement happened in 1954 with 231,987 inhabitants. Nowadays, the arrondissement remains very dense in population and business activity with 160,860 inhabitants and 92,267 jobs at last census in 1999. The land area of this arrondissement is exactly of 5.669 km² (2.189 sq. miles).
