Yangyang International Airport (Hangul: 양양 국제 공항, Hanja: 襄陽國際空港, Revised Romanization: Yangyang Gukje Gonghang, McCune-Reischauer: Yangyang Kukche Konghang) (IATA: YNY, ICAO: RKNY) is a small international airport in the northeast of South Korea. It is located in Yangyang County, Gangwon Province and serves the nearby cities of Gangneung and Sokcho, whose airport it replaced. Tourists bound for the Seoraksan national park also use Yangyang airport. There are occasional charters to China, Japan, & Taiwan. Korean Air and Jeju Air flies to this airport. China Eastern formerly served this airport.
This airport will be considered as the official airport for the 2014 Winter Olympics if Pyeongchang is selected by the IOC to host the olympics.<ref>2014 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Bid Plan> Accommodation & Transport Plan</ref>
