Yokohama rail crash

The Yokohama rail crash (Japanese:鶴見事故 ”Tsurumi Accident”)occurred on November 9 1963 between Tsurumi Station and Shinkoyasu Station on the Tōkaidō Main Line in Yokohama city (about 30 km from Tokyo), Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, when two passenger trains collided with a derailed freight train, killing 161 people.
