Yoon Gwan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Yoon Gwan(1040-1111)(Korean: 윤관) was a general of Goryeo, known for expanding the territory of the north-eastern region of the empire. The extent of his campaign is in dispute. While the general belief is that his nine fortresses were built in present-day North Korea, a number of historical sources seems to indicate that Yoon may have retaken parts of Manchuria for Korea, if only temporarily.
