Youth Against Climate Change (YACC) is a student run campaign launched in 2006 by The Howard Of Effingham School, Leatherhead. Primarily targeted at the teenage population, it aims to increase the awareness of global warming and its causes. It promotes particularly the action of schools in reducing their carbon footprint. As a member of the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition, it shares the fight in urging the government to take more action against climate change.

The campaign website provides a guide for schools to start their own projects and gives ideas for what action can be taken. Common schemes are:

  • Arranging the collection of recyclable materials
  • Reducing the number of photocopies
  • Selling awareness bracelets

The bracelet has "www.youthagainstclimatechange.org" rendered around it. The colours blue and green were chosen due to their representation of the planet Earth.

There are currently 62 supporters in 24 different schools or organisations, the most notable of which is Peter Molyneux's Lionhead Studios Ltd.
