[edit] Early success

Yung Joc is best known for his catchy beats. His break-out song, "It's Goin' Down" was produced by Nitti and So So Def Records. This lead-off single, off the album New Joc City, was a huge success in the United States. Though critically-smited, the single made its way into America's top 5 and was a heavily-downloaded tune on iTunes, Top metros for Joc searches are Jackson, Mississippi; Columbia, South Carolina; and New Orleans, Louisiana. The second single, "I Know You See It," is beginning to climb up the charts mainly because of its video-play. It debuted at number 143, and currently is sitting at 17.

Joc is noted as the first artist in two years to have a top forty U.S. hit on Bad Boy Records closely followed by labelmate Cassie's huge hit, Me and You in which Joc is featured in the remix. In addition to being the latest sensation of Bad Boy South and Block Entertainment, Yung Joc has become president of Mastermind Music, a record label started by himself and friend, Chino Dollar. He has appeared on TI's "King" tour.

Yung Joc's third single will be 1st Time ft. Marques Houston and Trey Songz. The video premiered on BET's Access Granted. Yung Joc is also featured on the songs "Show Stopper" by Danity Kane (from Diddy's Making The Band 3) & Cassie's album track Call U Out. Despite the rumors, he is not related to rapper Young Jeezy.<ref>BET.com.
