Yuri Ivanovich Malenchenko (Russian: Юрий Иванович Маленченко; born December 22, 1961 in Svitlovodsk, Kirovohrad Oblast of Ukrainian SSR) is a Russian cosmonaut of Ukrainian descent.

He flew on the following missions:

  1. Soyuz TM-19 Commander 04.11.1994 - 125d 22h 53m
  2. STS-106 Mission Specialist 20.09.2000 - 11d 19h 12m
  3. Soyuz TMA-2 / ISS Expedition 7 Commander 28.10.2003 - 184d 22h 46m

He became the first person to marry in space, on 10 August, 2003, when he married Ekaterina Dmitrieva, who was in Texas, while he was 240 miles over New Zealand, on the International Space Station.
