Zabulistan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Zabulistan is a historical region in Central Asia, in the border area of today's Iran and Afghanistan. The region is - by modern definition - located between the cities Farah (Afghanistan) and Zahedan (Iran).
The name probably covered in ancient times a much larger area, because still today a province of Afghanistan (at the border to Pakistan), at the foot of the Hindukush, is called Zabul.
According to Persian mythology Zabulistan was the country of Iranian hero Rostam.
