Zama, Kanagawa

Zama (Japanese: 座間市; -shi) is a city located in Kanagawa, Japan.

As of 2003, the ward has an estimated population of 128,770 and the density of 7,324.80 persons per km². The total area is 17.58 km².

City status was gained on November 1, 1971.

The city is also home to the United States' Camp Zama Army base.
