Žagarė is a township located in the region of Joniškis, Northern Lithuania. It has the population of about 3,000.

The foundation of Žagarė dates back to the twelfth century. It was an important center of Žiemgaliai warriors, who fought against the Teutonic Order.

Today Žagarė is the administrative center of the Žagarė Regional Park, known for its valuable urban and natural heritage.
