Mary Anderson was the inventor of the windscreen wiper blade. Anderson was granted her first patent for an automatic car window cleaning device, as opposed to getting out and wiping it, in November of 1903.

She was born in Alabama, USA. 1872-1964. During a New Youk trip, she saw that the streetcar drivers had to open their windows to be able to see in the rain, she decided to invent the windsheild wipers. She emiediatly began to create sketches. She got the windsheild wiper patented befor Henry Ford got the Model T patented.
