Morganite

Morganite is a pink coloured gem quality beryl, orange/yellow morganite is sometimes found also, it turns pink upon high temperature treatment.
Colour banding is common in morganite.
It is named after financier J.P. Morgan, an important renowned gemstone collector, by Tiffany & Co.'s "chief gemologist" George Frederick Kunz. Tiffany's has used the stone since the early 1900s.
Morganite is also known as Pink Emerald.
